Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge
At the beginning of 2010 Royal Chundu opened as “one of the most exclusive and sensitive lodges in Africa”. Royal Chundu today, with its exquisitely decorated luxury villas, clustered as River Lodge and Katambora Island Lodge is now part of the African Sun family of lodges and exclusive resorts (other members of the African Sun family being The Victoria Falls Hotel, Hwange Safari Lodge, Fothergill Island Safari, Obudu Mountain Resort and many others) I trust you’ll agree and enjoy the dream that has become Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge.
The luxurious lodge is built along the banks of the mighty Zambezi, the fourth largest river in Africa. The Zambezi is unequal in sheer magnificence, with wonderful bird life, great fishing, beautiful sunsets and riverine vegetation.

Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge is the kind of place where nature is untouched and you are humbled by the magic that surrounds you.

From the comfort of your bed at night, hear the orchestration of Africa, ceremonial drumming in the background blending with the lions roar, elephants trumpet, hippo grunting and the eerie call of the hyena, truly an unforgettable experience.

You will be given an opportunity to meet with the real Africa untainted by commercialism, where time and lifestyles remain unchanged. Our guides will explain the customs and cultural traditions and the fascinating myths and legends, but more importantly you will experience the essence of Africa - the people.
